TRAINING SEMINAR ON PREPARING REPORTS ON SELF ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ACCREDITATION

 

On February 3, 2015, at the H.S.Nasybullina School of Pedagogical Skill of S.D Asfendiyarov KazNMU held a training seminar for working groups on preparing reports on self assessment of educational programs for accreditation.

The seminar was attended by members of the working group formed from each specialty on the basis of the order №543a from 2 June 2014 and the order №819 from 12 September 2014 of the KazNMU rector A.Akanova.

For specialized accreditation of reports on self assessment of educational programs according to accreditation requirements, reports were discussed on the following specialities:

 

«General Medicine» (Bachelor, Master, PhD-doctoral)

«Dentistry» (Bachelor)

«Pharmacy» (Bachelor, Master, PhD-doctoral)

«Technology of pharmaceutical production» (Bachelor, Master, PhD-doctoral)

«Public health» (Bachelor, Master, Phd Doctorate)

«Medical prophylactic business» (Bachelor, Master, Phd Doctorate)

“Medicine” (Masters, Phd Doctorate)

 

Seminar on reporting of self assessment of undergraduate educational programs was conducted by certified expert of Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), a certified expert of The Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency in Education (IQAA), as well as by director Yusupov R.R of H.SNasybullina School of Pedagogical Skill.

Seminar on reporting of self assessment of postgraduate specialties was conducted by certified expert of Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), a certified expert of The Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency in Education (IQAA) and by Deputy Director Sarsenbayeva S.S of the Development Institute of the University.

During the seminar on the accreditation of educational programs were discussed reports of self assessment prepared by the working groups from each specialty. Chairpersons of working groups were informed about the mistakes and observations. Each report was reviewed separately with a focus on the information contained in each standard report. Also the following issues were considered: the preparation of standards in accordance with the specialized accreditation requirements, which information need to be conclude and necessity of re-correcting of technical and spelling errors in the reporting of self assessment.

The members of the working group asked a lot of questions about report writing. The coordinators of the seminar explained how to prepare report according to specialized accreditation requirements.

The workshop provided an opportunity for members of the working group to get the necessary and useful information about the report writing on self assessment.
