Zhusupov Baurzhan Sabitovich

He graduated from the Military Engineering and Space Institute. A.F. Mozhaysky in St. Petersburg (Russia), Master in Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of New York at Albany (USA). He has experience in Kazakhstan and international organizations.

He worked at the Center for the Study of Public Opinion (CIOM), at the office of the American Centers for Disease Prevention (CDC) in Central Asia, at the AIDS Foundation East-West, at the Academy of Preventive Medicine, at the Center for the Study of Global Health in Central Asia at Columbia University, in Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Medicine.

His areas of interest include medical, social, and epidemiological studies, program evaluation, and statistical data processing. He has 9 publications in peer-reviewed publications. Actively involved in work as a consultant. In particular, by order of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, he participated in an interim evaluation of the Salamatty Kazakhstan Health Development Program.

Since September 2015, he is the head of the Department of Biostatistics and Fundamentals of Scientific Research of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarova.

Since December 2017, he was appointed Vice Rector for Research at KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarova.
