Conference dedicated to 125th anniversary of Sanjar Asfendiyarov
Dear colleagues!
For the seventh year in a row, Asfendiyarov KazNMU will bring together colleagues, university graduates, representatives of practical health care, and partners from higher education institutions for the traditional “University Days symposium. For 2014, the symposium will be held 2-4 December at KazNMU. The purpose will be an enhancement of training of specialists of medicine and pharmacy to national and global levels through effective dialog.
More than 40 students and faculty events will be held, including conferences, master classes, lectures, debate, meetings, and competitions. It is planned to discuss theareas of cooperation with representatives of leading universities of the world to achieve recognition at the international level by the Kazakhstan medical schools, and to learn the best practices in the fields of education, clinics and sciences. Also, there will be discussion of issues with officials of the medical organizations of the Republic on training of KazNMU graduates to achieve the goals of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan in 2014: «The Kazakhstan way – 2050: one purpose, one interests, one future».
Every year, the KazNMU staff decides the slogan of the upcoming academic year which sets priority areas of development. Three previous years were designated as «Year of Information», «Year of a Joint Responsibility of Teachers and Students for Quality of Education», and «Integration of Education, Science and Practice: Strategy Kazakhstan-2050». This year 2014 will have the slogan «To High Quality of Education through Development of Teacher Competences». Therefore, a subject of the round table with our partner higher education institutions is «Medical education in the 21st century: High quality through teacher competences».
Today, the KazNMU proud of values and traditions of the university, by leading positions in the national ratings of higher education institutions and educational programs, by positive institutional assessment of experts of the World Federation of Medical Education, by cooperation with the leading clinics and scientific centers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, by partnership with 100 world universities, and by membership in the International Associations (AMEE, ADEE, AMSE, EUA, IUA, ASPHER, GSM Barcelona, FDI, EROFDI, the World Federation of Druggists, and Association by distant education The Siberian Open University).
We hope to welcome all of you at our University and to have an opportunity for further development of cooperation in training of professional personnel and improvement of education quality in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
