To participate in the contest » Altyn Sapa» in June 19, 2013, under the guidance of the Quality Management Representative A.A. Tabaeva, department of QSM filed an application for participation in the competition and prepared a report on the activities of the University over the past 5 years.
On September 5, 2013 Expert Committee on the examination of submissions and on-site assessment, which composed of representatives of the Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Almaty city, Entrepreneurship Development Fund «Damu» , People’s Democratic Party «Nur Otan» , Chamber of Commerce of Almaty and Almaty City Administration visited KazNMU.
The audit began with a reference to the history of University Museum (Director A.S. Sayatova) and a meeting with A.A. Akanov the rector of the University. During the visit, the expert commission has been rated the leading role of University leadership, Policy and Quality Objectives, University Strategy of customer feedback. The Commission visited 11 departments that have demonstrated the core activities of the University: Director of the Higher School of Medicine A.V. Balmuhanova presented education activities, director of the communication skills of M.A. Asimov, Director of the Center of practical skills Z.B. Isin, Head of the department of normal anatomy professor T. Dosaev, clinical activity — the Institute of dentistry under the supervision of the Director of the Department of Dentistry I.V. Baskakova, research activities — Director of Atchabarov Research Institute for Fundamental and Applied Medicine L.T. Yeraliev, postgraduate training and professional development of teaching staff — Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education D.C. Darmenov. The library staff KazNMU demonstrated process of service to readers, members of the Expert’s Commission visited the theater » Concordia » monuments » Walk of Life» , » Monument to physicians participating in The Great Patriotic War», and the monument «Ustazyma».
Expert opinion of the committee, together with the KazNMU report, referred to the Committee on Award of the President , which is chaired by the Head of Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the committee members — the ministers of line ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Award winners of the contest «Altyn Sapa» will be known on World Quality Day, November 14, 2013.
The ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest held annually in late December with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
