From March 24, 2014 visiting-professors from Gordon Center for Research in medical education prof. Ross Scalese and IlyaShekhter began seminar for KazNMU academic staff.

The subject of the first week is Improving Simulation Instructional Methods, ISIM.

The first day was at the Center of practical skills. Training to work on cardiopulmonary simulator Harvey was demonstrated. The program of seminar-training includes following subjects: practical application of simulation and health care services, the development of scenarios, standardized patients, assessment of students, the conditions for successful application simulations, teamwork.

Participants of seminar are 55 teachers of High Medical School, chairs of postgraduate education, KazNMU residents.

This seminar is the first stage in the preparation of certified trainers and teachers on simulation technology in clinical medicine.
