Assessment of Competence in Medicine and the Healthcare Professions
The Ottawa Conferences on the Assessment of Competence in Medicine and the Healthcare Professions were set up by Professor Ian Hart (Ottawa, Canada) and Professor Ronald Harden (Dundee, UK) in 1985. This is the very first time this conference is held in Asia and we are extremely happy that Kuala Lumpur has been chosen to be the venue. The Ottawa Conference is the leading international meeting on assessment in medical education and we are pleased to announce that to date, we have over 1,100 registered delegates from 50 countries. Held biennially, they provide a forum for medical and other healthcare professions educators to network and share ideas on all aspects of the assessment of competence in both clinical and non-clinical domains, throughout the continuum of education. The Ottawa Conference on the Assessment of Competence in Medicine and the Healthcare Professions is the leading international forum for exchanging ideas and developments in the field, with the aim of improving healthcare and healthcare delivery around the world.
