The educational department of surgery was organized on the basis of order № 2156 from August, 19, 2010 in decision of Scientific Advice (from June, 30 2010, protocol №10).
The primary purpose of activity of Department is a management of educational process with the purpose of providing of quality of the given services on the basis of competence- oriented approach.· Basic functions of activity: Ø control of quality of the educational programs sent to perfection of educational process taking into account past experience, to current activity and by a prospect on the future; Ø Control of forming of key competenses at student on every discipline within the framework of the educational programs; Ø monitoring of quality of realization of the educational programs on departments/modules of Department for included in outer educational space. |
The basic tasks of activity of Department it is been:
- Co-ordination of teaching methods work, including organizations of practice on departments and modules of Department within the framework of realization of the educational programs;
- Determination of model of the educational program and methodical approaches, providing forming for the students of responsibility for attitude toward educating, their preparation to the further independent educating and educating during all life;
- monitoring of quality of realization of the educational programs on departments and modules of Department for included in outer educational space
- Within the framework of realization of the put aims and tasks, Department will realize next basic functions and directions of activity :
- control of quality of the educational programs sent to perfection of educational process taking into account past experience, to current activity and by a prospect on the future;
- Control of forming of key competenses at student on every discipline within the framework of the educational programs;
- An educational department bears responsibility for realization of model of medical education, program of trilinguism, introduction of credit technology of educating, elements of the controlled from distance educating and dual education, forming of teaching methods accompaniment of disciplines, planned (to beginning of school year) drafting of requests of purchase and edition of educational literature on disciplines, control after that is included in the competense of educational department, and similarly control after material well-being by educational literature on specialities;
- Co-ordination of executable codes of disciplines taking into account the educational trajectories of specialities at the level of bachelor, internship, residency;
- Structure and plugging in the educational program of different components of educating to clinical skills in accordance with the certain stage of the program of educating.

- Control of educational process on departments and modules of Department, and also on departments and modules, participating in realization of the educational program of Department;
- Organization, control and co-ordination of educational and methodical work of departments and modules of Department, all types of lessons, with subsequent generalization of control results and development of the events sent to the removal of the educed defects;
- Control after timely presentation on a statement in accordance with established procedure of the educational and working programs;
- Control of quality of clinical, scientific and educator work on the supervised departments and modules; Analysis of efficiency of activity of faculty advisors for determination of rating of faculty advisors;
- Wide engaging of faculty advisors and corresponding structural subdivisions in the process of continuous perfection of teaching quality on the departments of Department with the purpose of development of competenses of teachers;
- Cordination of logistical support of educational process on departments and modules of educational department (by educational -methodological literature and technical equipments of providing);
- An educational department (OUD) and dean’s Office coordinate the activity with the purpose of upgrading of educational services.
